The concept and art altogether is nice, only her face gives the impression of earlier incantations of the toyline (may be wrong, only glimpsed at the earlier cartoons). Those invatations forming a trail behind her is a nice touch.
Its from Canada I think. Its G4 version of the 80's MLP but was reborn by the the wife of the man who did Powerpuff girls and Foster's home for imaginary friends. She is currently not the directing the show but it has just finished S2.
Well, unlike the others this version's world has many creatures from griffins to hydras and the ponies in this one in my opinion have more personality.Though at first glance they are somewhat stereotypes but not to extreme and as the series goes on they do start rounding in small but noticeable ways. They all have jobs, flaws, and personal problems but remain friends regardless. The the S1 starter is about a unicorn named Twilight sparkle she is looking into the myth of an evil pegacorn(winged unicorn)that is said to return around the same time of the summer sun celebration(their version of new years). She and her dragon assistant spike are sent to check preparations but the princess also want her to make friends because though shes not mean socially she doesn't get out much for friend making which is the other reason the princess sends her to a place called(the most unique name they could think of apparently)ponyville. The season goes on with her and 5 other ponies reporting what they've learned about friendship at the end of each episode. S2 is when studio B realizes they've got more grown viewers and incorporates more life lessons then friendship ones plus a little more action. Not everyone can get into it whether its from the brightness of colors or the characters just to kid-ish and chipper for them but its good to me.Do you want a link to one of the seasons first episodes?
